Improvisation workshops are flexible according to the topic and a target group. I share my experience with different approaches ranging from free improvisation and listening exercises, various techniques of conducting, graphic score, multimedia improvisation. The main question for me is how can we support each other to be able to coexist together: to play together / listen to each other.
PIKOVICE: COLLECTIVE STUDY ON LISTENING AND IMPROVISATION
Since 2020 I have organized summer camps of collective improvisation and listening research at my cottage in the village Pikovice on Sázava river. In two years there have been more than 30 participants involved. Watch a short movie about Pikovice 2020:
ZLETHNO:FOLK MEETS IMPRO
Since 2018 I have organized together with Michaela Antalová Zlethno-folk meets impro, the summer meeting of improvisers and folk musicians in the Slovakian mountain village Zlatno. Departing from collective learning and sharing, we experiment with mixing folk songs with free improvisation.
VOCAL AND MOVEMENT IMPROVISATION WORKSHOPS
In 2013 I led a workshop on vocal and movement improvisation at Janáček Academy of Music resulting in my final MgA.project. The exercises suggested at this collection are available to educators of any levels. All available online.
IMPROVISATION WORKSHOP WITH CHILDREN
I also give workshops to children of all age groups and levels. I adjust the workshop according to the nature of the group and level of their experience.
